Naturalist Hiking Week in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Naturalist Hiking Week is coming up on July 7-12 at the Institution at Tremont. Each day at the event, participants get to choose between two trails and a “day-off” activity. Each hike and other planned activities will be lead by an experienced instructor that will be able to offer insight into the wonders of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The daily hikes are ranked between moderate and strenuous, and are anywhere from 6 to 14 miles long. “Day-off” activities include activities such as nature walks, art classes, ecology field trips, and tours of historic areas. Hiking Week is a great way to gain a better understanding and appreciation for the environment. For more information about this event call (865) 448-6709
